Daenerys 798-807

In this chapter it was about the funeral preparations for Khal Drogo's funeral and Daenery's plan to try to have the dragon eggs hatch. With this they build a pyre and get both Khal Drogo and Daenery's ready for the funeral so Khal Drogo can forever ride into the sunset so they looked for the brightest star to try and start the ceremony. They see a red comet flying high above in the stars, the Dragons tail. So when they see that they have both all cleaned up and smelling all nice while the "witch" was tied up to the pyre too along with Khal Drogo laying on top with some of his personal belongings and some items to make him more comfortable in the afterlife. While everything is burning she  walks into the fire as the witch is screaming and singing and the eggs start to hatch. Daenery's emerges from the ash and has her dragons are around her and everyone starts to kneel and say "blood of our blood".

This chapter is especially important due to the fact that there are dragons now in the freaking world! Also, it shows that there is still power to be held by Daenerys that there was not before that she can can start to raise an army and claim her rightful throne. This may come into the factor when the fight is brought over to westros if Daenerys can overtake the armies and be the rightful queen.

Daenerys
In this chapter Dani prepares a funeral for her lost love Drogo, the ceremony consist of a huge fire, a warriors way to pass on before she lights the fire she placed the three dragon eggs in the fire. She freed her slaves and told them the have no obligations to fulfill to her anymore. She tells them she doesn't plan to kill her self because fire can not hurt the true dragons blood. She lights it on fire and walks in to the flames. After the flames burned out, she emerges from the ashes with three baby dragons at her side.
This is a huge part of the story because although Dani lost her army she now has three dragons, just one dragon is worth an entire army by it's self. Also with the dragons comes massive respect, not to mention dragons played a huge part in her ancestors rise to power many years before her. She almost has everything she need to take her thrown back.

Daenerys

Daenerys is preparing a funeral for Drogo, when she ask her slave/servants to still fallow by her side. She ask three to be her bloodriders. They tell her they cannot serve a woman in that position. Only one person will take that oath to protect Daenerys and that was Jorah. This chapter was really important to show the power roles of gender and how it truly was harder for a woman to be a higher power in the medieval era. The most important part of this chapter was when she walked out of the flames with the dragons and then everyone wanted to sever her. Was pretty impressive! 

Eddard

Ned is this chapter has been accused and committed of treason and which he is sent to the Red Keep dungeon. During Ned’s time alone is this cell, all he can think about is him being the reasoning for all his men dying and for the danger that his family is now under, and is almost sick because he can’t do anything to help them. While ned is in the dungeon Varys comes to visit him to give him the scoop of whats going on, and she ends with telling him the two options he has. He can commit to what he has thought all along and stand up to the king and express his feeling of how Joff shouldn’t be king which is very risky, especially for where he is at the moment. Or he could commit to something he didn’t do and hope that the punishment isn’t death. But if he does this , his family may be safe. This chapter is huge for the book, with leaving everyone guessing what ned is going to do.

Jons Chapter 773

In this chapter Jon decides to run away but his friends from the wall convince him to come back. Then him and Mormont talk and he tells Jon that he wants Jon to go with him beyond the wall.

This is an important chapter because it one shows how much Jon is torn between family and his duty at the wall. He wants to help both but he can't. Also when Mormont says that he knew Jon was going to leave it showed that Jon doesn't know everything is going on and that even though Mormont is old, he is very much aware of what is going on. Also since they're going past the wall its a good thing for Jon since that's what he wanted to do all along. I think this part is especially important because Mormont says he wants both Jon and his dire wolf which makes me feel like they are going to be crucial to the story later on, by seeing things in a different way, especially the direwolf.

Daenerys

Drogo becomes sick from the wound he received from the fight. The next day they are riding to their next destination, but Drogo falls off of his horse. Daenerys insist that the people stop for a while so Drogo can recover. Jorah steps in and tells Daenerys that the only reason they followed Drogo was because he was strong, but now he isn't. He then states that a khal who cannot ride a horse cannot lead. Jorah suggest that Daenerys should leave; however, she insist otherwise and asks Mirri to use blood magic in the hope to heal Drogo. Mirri agrees, but has Drogo's horse killed in the tent with them in order for the magic to work. While this is going on, Daenerys goes into labor and Jorah and Daenerys's servants try to fight Drogo's bloodriders in order to stop Mirri. Many of the people leave the group while the fight is happening, and Jorah carries Daenerys into the tent so that Mirri could possibly help. I find this chapter very interesting because it shows how a person's loyalty to a group can suddenly change when they feel scared or concerned with their choices. Many of the people left the group because Drogo died and people started to fight. This made me wonder what will happen to Daenerys and to the many people that were part of the group. 

Daenerys 703-715

         In this chapter Daenerys and Drogo are riding horse back, she notices that he is still in a great amount of pain from the wound on his chest. She goes to swat away the flies that are all over him and he falls from his horse. Daenerys quickly gets off of her horse to go to his side, she notices that he is extremely hot to the touch. She orders to stop the travel and camp here for the night due to her husbands illness. They say that when a man falls from a horse he can no longer rule. They place Khal Drogo into a bath and the water turns red from his bleeding wound. This makes her very nervous. She orders for Qotho to go and find Mirri Maz Duur and bring her to him, she is the woman who made the wrap out of mud to heal his wound. Eventually a fight breaks out when Qotho goes to kill Mirri who had Drogos horse killed so that she could use the blood of the horse, which is put into the batgh with him, to do a spell on him that she said would save him. Qotho's arm is pretty much cut off and Daenerys gets her shoulder cut and she also begins to go into labor. Ser Jorah, who is also injurer during the fight goes and picks her up and carries her into the tent, where Mirri told her that nobody should enter while doing this spell because it brings back many things from the dead.
        I believe this chapter is very important, pretty much it'll lead to life or death for Daenerys, her child and Drogo. Ser Jorah told her that once the Khal is dead she is nothing and that they will take the baby from her breast and give him to the dogs. Either Drogo will live and be able to carry on or he will die and Ser Jorah and Daenerys along with the baby must escape to remain alive.

Daenerys (798-807)

  Deaneries instructs the rest of Drogo's men to build a proper burial site for Drogo. They piled logs to make a platform and placed Drogo on the platform, surrounding him with all of his favorite things (including his horse). Dany placed her three dragon eggs around Drogo, and they staked Mirri Maz Duur to the "burial" platform. When the time came and they had seen the first star in the sky (which happened to be a blood red comet, that Dany took as a good sign) they set the platform on fire. After everything had set flame, Deaneries entered into the flames. Although her hair and all her clothing burned, Dany (blood of the dragon) remained unscathed and had three suckling baby dragons and the respect of the remnants of the Khalasar. Drogo's blood riders pledged their allegiance to Dany, along with Jorah Mormont. The chapter closed describing the music of the dragons. 

  Although Dany had lost her husband and son, She gained the support of a Khalasar and found herself still becoming a mother... To dragons!!! The possibilities are endless with this twist in the story. From the names of the other books in the series I'm sure Dany remains a prominent character in The Game of Thrones series. I think Dany will continue to grow on a maturity level, as she sees herself as finally becoming a woman. Throughout the entire book we see her go through a transformation unlike any other character. Instead of allowing the circumstances surrounding her to turn her bitter she lets them empower her. I think that's why she's has remained my favorite character in the book since the beginning. Her bravery is uncanny. She literally walked into a fire, not knowing what would happen, but being brave enough to try. In the other books I think more and more people will follow her, and love her. She seems to just have that sort of effect on people. Especially people who you'd least expect it from (like Jorah, Drogo, or even the blood riders). I think that'll play into her favor. I'm really excited to read the other books, mainly because of Daeneries! 

Brans chapter 729

In this chapter it starts out by Maester Luwin coming into Bran's chamber. Bran then tells him about a dream with Bran talking to his dad down in the crypts. So they go down there and end up finding Rikkon down there as well. So they all go back to Maester Luwin's chamber where Rikkon and Bran describe having the same dream. Maester Luwin then tells them the history of their people starting way back. Then a crow comes with news of their fathers death.
I feel that this chapter is very important because it goes more into the magical part of the book which has to do with the Children of the Forest and such. I think that Rikkon and Bran have a special part in the story and will somehow be involved with the Children of the Forest. This part of the book kind of brings up supernatural forces which not all people today believe in just as in the book shown by Maester Luwin's skepticism.

Eddard XV

Ned is still sitting in his urine oder cell, which is dark all day due to not having any windows. He is starting to have trouble keeping himself busy and starts to back track on his life and sees a lot of things that happened. The time passes slow so he thinks of war strategies to himself outlined. Varys comes to visit Ned in his cell and brings news of Arya escape and other information. Ned blames Varys for the guards that got killed as he stood there and watched it happen.
This chapter still show loyalty and deep roots of friend ship. I see Ned coming to forgiveness and getting out of jail with his life. (and all limbs) Ned keeps see war in his mind so i think the biggest battle we have seen so fair in this book.

Eddard

In this chapter Ned is currently captured setting in a filthy cell in the dungeon of the Red Keep, during his time alone Ned has time to reflect and feels guilty for the dangerous position he put his family in as well as the death of his loyal men. Varya informs Ned about how his family is doing on the outside, he also give Ned an ultimatum of sorts giving him two options. He can admit that he is guilty of treason to the king making him a trader or he can choose to stay loyal to his duty and tell everyone that Joffery is not the true heir to the late King Roberts thrown. If Ned chooses to admit he is a trader it would go well for Sansa and keep his family out of harms way.
I chose this chapter because it is a key point in the story and Ned has a huge decision to make if he chooses to say he is guilty it's almost curtain death but he will be saving his family. If he doesn't Joff will have to kill him anyway to keep him quiet.

Eddard

During this chapter Ned is committed of treason and sent to the Red Keep dungeon and is put there for the remaining time. This time is very hard on Ned and he sits in the lonley cell thinking about and blaming himself for all his men dying and the danger that he has put his family in and he feels helpless because he cant help. Varys comes and visits Ned and discusses his loyalty to the realm and gives Ned the latest updates on what has happened that he cant be there for. The chapter ends with Varys telling Ned that he 2 choices and that he needs to think about what hes going to do:
He can either commit to his duty to the king and stand still to his opinion that Joff shouldnt be king which in that case that might risk the death of Ned and sansa, or because he loves Sansa so much, he can confess to a crime he did not commit which would hopefully get himself out of the situation but it is also risky.

Eddard

In this chapter King Robert died in this chapter. Ned gets the people to make him as protector but they were interrupted. When Ned calls for the City Watch to make Cersei and her children leave. The gold cloaks kill Ned’s men. Littlefinger tells what he did. This chapter was very good because it was full of action like all the other chapters. I was surprised little finger told what he did. Over all I really enjoyed this chapter. 

Eddard 628-637

At this point Ned Stark is in the deepest darkest dungeon there is in kings landing after trying to overthrow the lannisters and have the rightful king take control which would be Roberts brother. While he is in the dungeon he is barely being fed and hydrated and has no communication with anyone. Ned starts to loose sight of reality and dreaming because he starts vividly dreaming things as he is awake like he does when he dreams. Varys shows up and starts talking to Ned about the outside and what is happening in the North, the situation with Tyrion, and his daughters. Ned asks why he did not help them and Varys responds with a reasonable answer of being unarmed and that he serves the realm instead of anyone. Varys does give Ned an option to bite his tounge and just acknowledge what Cersei wants.
This chapter is important due to the fact that Ned has a major decision to make to "confess" his wrongs and ruin his name. Also, with this chapter it shows how strong willed Ned is and what he can endure and overcome and pull through. With what Ned chooses will determine his future at the wall or will be dead.

Jon (Pgs. 552-567)

In this chapter, Jon Snow and Sam go along with Mormont followed by his men on a mission. After a while, they find the corpse from which Ghost received the hand from. After examining the bodies, one of the rangers mentions that the bodies have not been dead for very long; however, Sam mentions that something was wrong with the corpses. He concluded that the bodies weren't bloody or rotten and their eyes turned blue. Mormont agrees with Sam and orders that the bodies be taken back to the wall for examination. Later that night Jon receives a letter explaining Ned's treason. It is clear that Jon wants to go home. Then Thorne calls Jon a traitor's bastard and Jon tries to attack Thorne, but is stopped by his friends. Mormont sends Jon to his cell without weapons. Jon then wakes up to his cell door being open and finds the guards dead outside. John walks up the stairs and notices a person walking into Mormont's room. Jon and Ghost attack the (dead) person and then Jon finishes it by burning the body. 
I think the significance of this chapter is that it is foreshadowing that there is going to be several issues occurring later on. For instance, Ned is being held captive for treason, Robb is leading an army to fight the Lannisters, and the knights watch have discovered something from their past has returned. I feel that since all of these issues are happening at once, it will lead to a catastrophe. As for Jon, I feel that he has a very difficult decision to make. Does he stay loyal to his oath and protect the wall or does he rush home to help protect his family? 

Jon (553-567)

 The chapter begins by describing the corpses of two men (Ben Starks men, to be exact). The corpses were dead white, with bright blue eyes and black charred hands. They found the dead men outside of the wall while looking for Ben Stark.  Jon and his companions of Black Brothers made the mistake  of taking the bodies back to the wall for further examination. Jon awoke the next morning to find the dead corpse alive! The zombie had killed men already, but Jon being the hero that he is, ran to make sure Lord Mormont was safe. In the battle between Jon and the zombie, Jon won by using FIRE. Apparently zombies are allergic to fire. Throw in some bad news about Jon's father and a quarrel between Jon and Ser Alliser  Thorne and that pretty much sums up the chapter. 

 This chapter changes things quite a bit... For instance zombies are now an imminent threat to the wall. It seems like the zombies were meant to be found and that there are probably more. Jon lands himself in trouble after attacking Ser Alliser, and we see Jon becoming troubled that he isn't able to help his true family. We also see a close relationship forming between Jon and Lord Mormont. 

 I think that zombies will definitely become more dangerous and that it will cause more problems for the kingdom (as if there's not enough already!). 

Daenerys pg. 583-594

In this chapter Daenerys wanted to go to the market as her husband was out hunting. Once they arrived to the market Ser Jorah went to get a letter, while he was gone Daenerys and her handmaids went to try the sausages that she had talked about. Then they went to try the wine, and when the wine seller found out who she was he went to get her special wine. When Ser Jorah returned he told them to put down the wine and wanted the seller to try it, when he refused he knew the wine was poisoned. When they returned to Khal Drogo he grew mad and said that he was going to cross the black salt water and kill the men and rape the women.

I think that this chapter is important because when they return Ser Jorah states that this was the first attempt to kill Daenerys and her son, but it will not be the last. I think that things could get interesting from here, there could be so many people who try to kill her and the child because the price they will get paid is a lot, and worth it. Things could take a turn for the worst for Daenerys.

Game of Thrones Chapter 34 (Eddard) Summary

Ned finds Littlefinger in a brothel. He sends Jory to fetch the horses while he speaks to Littlefinger. They leave the brothel and ride through the streets of King's landing. Suddenly, they are encountered by Jaime Lannister and several of his men. They surround Ned and Jaime tells Ned that he is looking for his brother. Ned openly reveals to Jaime that he had his brother taken to answer for his crimes. At first, Jaime allows Littlefinger to leave while he prepares to fight Ned, but then he decides to have Ned's men killed as a response to Ned arresting his brother. Ned attempts to save his men but is unsuccessful, and is injured in the fight. Ned returns to the castle with Littlefinger. This chapter is important to the story because it shows Jaime Lannister's reaction to his brother's arrest, and his emotions toward Ned. I chose this chapter because I really liked the drama of the fight that occurred, and I'm excited to find out what happens next.

Dany 409-419
In this chapter Dany eats a stallion heart, symbolic of the Dotharki to conceiving a boy. Dany prepares for this ceremony which shows she's taken this culture as her own. There's nothing she desires more than their approval. The ritual is finished the feast begins. Viserys barges in and insults the Dotharki. The khal tells him he will give him his crown of gold, the throws his madelion belt into a melting pot and pours the molten gold on the head of Viserys. Deny doesn't regard him as her brother, instead she refers to him as the boy who had been her brother. The Khal kills him and there is no bloodshed.

Catelyn

In this part of the book Catelyn has discovered that Tywin has an army at Casterly Rock. Also, at this part Catelyn is trying to get her sister to try to stop the trial by combat because he is more useful with his life put on trial instead of combat. Catelyn is getting tired of her sister being the way that she is. Tyrion does escape with his life with someone coming to his aide.

I feel like this is important due to the fact that Tyrion escapes with his life in this chapter. Also another important thing was that Tyrion gains another companion that helps him along his path. Without this companion he would most likely die by people or the elements. We also see further distance between the sisters starting to fight and disagree.

Eddard X

During this chapter, Ned is dreaming of a "showdown" 7 against 3. Everyone ends up dying but Ned and Reed. Ned then awakes from his dream when he was making a promise to his dying sister Lyanna after the battle. King Robert demands that Ned sees him the moment he wakes up. Ned complains that he is too weak from being asleep the past 6 days and says he'll be pleased if the King would join him in his room. Catelyn had taken over the role of the hand of King for Ned since he has been in bed the past 6 days. The King also slaps Cersi and tells her she should be happy to wear the mark that he has left upon her face. I feel like this Chapter is important because it shows some of the power and characteristics of the King.

Daenerys (489-500)

     Daenerys is faced with the task of eating a raw horse heart at the Dathraki ceremony that will determine her babies future. She successfully eats the heart, and names her SON Rhaego. It was prophecied that her son will be the stallion that mounts the world, and bring all the khalsars together. In the midst of the celebration, Viserys threatens to cut out Daenerys child. Drogo didn't appreciate that at all, but as promised gives Viserys his "crown of gold"; dumping a heaping pot of molten hold onto his head and thus killing him! 

      I like this chapter because we see Daenerys becoming even more of a queen, as she blessed the Khal with a son. We also see her and Drogo falling in LOVE! So sweet. And finally, I was quite pleased that Viserys died. He was terrible. 

      The importance on this chapter is undeniable. Viserys is now gone, making Daenerys son the next in line to overthrow the 7 kingdoms. If the prophesy is true, than Rhaego will be a great ruler and his enemies will tremble. So look out 7 kingdoms! 

Tyrion

In his cell which only has three walls and a side that opens up to a 600 foot drop that has a slight downward slope towards the cliff, tyrion is continuously torments by Mord. Tyrion keeps thinking about how he wished he didn't have such a loud mouth. Tyrion then thinks that since his loud mouth got him in the dungeon that surly it could also get him out. Tyrion then bribes Mord by telling him that he will share some gold with him, to go to Lysa and tell her that Tyrion would like to confes for his crimes which is exactly what Lysa wanted. Lysa is then pissed because Tyrion is confessing to little things such as whoring and then demands for a trial. Lysa then asks if tyrion has someone who will step up in his behalf. Bronn then comes forwards and says that he will stand infront of tyrion. This chapter brings numerous questions to the surface. Why did Lysa claim that tyrion was HER  prisoner and that he will not be harmed? Also I wondered about the importance of the Blue Sky, I think the writing was about the cliff and the blue sky you would be falling through but why did the author emphasize the BLUE? Also why did Bronn stand for Tyrion?

Eddard's Chapter(480)

In this chapter Ned is still healing from his broken leg. Littlefinger visits him in his bedchamber. The book that Jon Arryn was reading gets mentioned and then meets Cersei at the gods wood. He then calls her out by confirming that her children are by Jaime. He discovers that's why Bran got pushed out the window. He then tells her to leave for the free cities with her family because he plans to tell Robert.

I feel this is an important chapter because for one it uncovers a lot of information that was unknown to the readers up until now. Also she says "When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die." This feels ominous to me so I feel like something will probably happen later on but to who is uncertian.

Sansa

Up until this point, (and through this chapter) Sansa has been in fairytale land, thinking her whole life is going to be like the stories she heard growing up, the good guys win, bad guys lose and she marries the future king for love and life will go on perfectly for ever after. She even makes up excuses to explain why her father didn't send the Knight of Flowers to go punish Ser Gregor. "His leg pains him" causing him to not think straight and not send the Knight of Flowers just because he asked, not because he is only a 16 year old kid and not qualified nor has the experience to take on the Mountain the Rides. Sansa is starting to piss me off a little, she doesn't understand that there are ulterior motives for why people do what they do. Part of that being her upbringing, not being exposed to the cutthroat life of the King's court.

Chapter 29, Sansa

In this chapter more is revealed about the Hound and his brother Gregor, before that Sansa is witness to Gregor killing a man (Hugh) while jousting while at the kings hand tournament. Sansa took the sight of seeing a man die before her very one eyes very well almost as if she was unfazed at all, overall Sansa's enjoyed her self at the tournament. Later Hound went on to tell Sansa that Gregor meant to kill Hugh during the joust. Also the hound revealed that the scares on his face were a result of Gregor holding his face down in a hot pit off coals when he was just a boy.
This chapter is important because you see a side of Sansa's and the Hound that you may have not expected from either of them. Sansa being unfazed at the kings hand tournament when she witnessed Gregor snap his lance off in Hugh's neck resulting in Hugh's death moments later was shocking to me. I would have pegged Sansa's to freak out. So maybe Sansa has more to her than what meets the eye, I'm looking forward to watching how her character develops. The Hound opening up to Sansa's was surprising to me as well, not that his brother shoved his face into hot coals but because he shared with Sansa. Maybe there is a soft side to the Hound or at least a soft spot for Sansa.

bran

 I am going to do the chapter Bran because it was rather exciting. Bran can still not feel his legs from the fall so he must be tied down to the horse to keep him from falling off. Luwin was not wanting him to ride to keep him from injuring his legs even more. Robb told Bran the news he had heard about their parents. He told Bran how his father legs were crushed and he was given the milk of the poppy and they weren’t sure when he would wake up again. So this means that Robb has to take over. They road the wolves into the woods Robb and Bran went to look for the kill, as they were looking Robb leaves Bran behind and sees a bunch wildlings that tried to take his horse, Robb Comes back and kills most of them but a couple get away.

I liked this chapter quite a bit, it seems brans chapters are always interesting. There was a lot going on. I like this chapter it has Bran geting out despite his leg damage and also about his dad and if he will ever come to and it shows how grow Robb is and how he really can fend for himself and others

Bran

In this chapter Bran goes on a ride for the first time. He got to use a special saddle. Robb, Theon and guards  and the wolves went with him. Robb and bran have a long talk.  Bran wants to return to the castle because he was upset. They couldn't leave rite away because they had to get the direwolves. Bran is jumped the Night’s Watch and the other two wilding women. The direwolves come to the rescue. Only one of the wildling survives. This chapter has been my favorite so far. It's very action packed and a lot happen for bran. I can't wait to find out what's next.

Eddard X

Ned is in bed and dreams of a fight, 7 on 3. These three men were kingsguard that Ned had been looking for from previous battles, but found them guarding a tower. long story short everyone dies besides Ned and Reed, shortly after the fight he is woken up. Only with news that Catelyn and King Robert are on their way because Ned was too weak to go anywhere. Catelyn took over the role of 'Hand of the king' for Ned being stuck in bed so long. The king slaps Cersei in the argument and she says that she will proudly wear the bruise as a badge of honor. Robert tells Ned if he resigns that he would give Jamie the position as a joke.
I chose to write about this chapter because it shows power roles from the kings side, and how he needs Ned and his closes/most trusted comrades to be by his side. It also shows a soft side from Robert that we don't get to see a lot of yet in this book.

Eddard (VIII)

In this chapter Ned is having a meeting with the kings council and King Robert is actually present, which is a shock to Ned. Daenery is newly pregnant and there has been threats on her unborn child that could eventuallly cause a "War" and this does not set well  with the council because their only concern is to keep their power. Robert and the council does not take to heart of murdering, and they would do anything for power. Ned on the other hand is against this and takes a hand to morality and honor and tries to argue with the council that this is wrong to kill a mother and her unborn child because of a dishonest threat. Ned in outnumbered in this debate because the council are already thinking of ways of her assisnation and who will do it. Ned starts to get really mad and is completley against this and storms out. I think this chapter really focuses on the key theme of power, because they will do anything (even murder for no reason) to claim their own power. And because power is so dominant, they will go to no ends to make that happen for themselves. The council isnt even putting in their opinions for what they think will be best for the king or the situation, their only concern is doing whats best for them, and that is murdering Daenery and her unborn child.

Eddard

In this chapter Ned confronts Cersie about knowing that Joffery and her other kids are not fathered by King Robert and in fact are her brother Jamie's kids. During the conversation Cersie admits to Ned that Jamie and her had tried to kill Bran because he saw her and Jamie. Ned takes the news about Bran pretty well and still urges Cersie to take her kids and flee Kings Landing. Cersie told Ned she wouldn't do no such thing like flee.
I chose this chapter because Ned revealing that he knew this confidential information to Cersie of all people is huge. Foreshadowing if Cersie isn't willing to flee with her children what other options does she really have I highly doubt that she neither Jamie will let anyone harm their children, so something big has to be coming. This chapter sets in motion huge plays for the throne in upcoming chapters.

Eddard (Pgs. 480-488)

The chapter begins with Ned laying in bed talking to Grand Maester Pycelle. They talk for a little bit about how Ned's leg feels, and then Ned and him discuss how Ned wants Jaime dead. Then Ned starts thinking about telling Robert how he feels about Joff, as well as telling him about Cersei and her children. After Ned heals a little, he has a meeting with Cersei in the godswood and explains to her that he knows why Jon Arryn died. It was because Jaime was the father of Tommen, Myrcella, and Joff, instead of Robert. Cersei admits that Ned is correct, and then goes on to telling him that it was her and her brother that tired to kill Bran. Then Ned and Cersei get into an argument about parenting. In example, Ned states, "For a start... I do not kill children. You would do well to listen, my lady." After a while, Ned insist that she leaves with her children, but she refuses. At the end of the chapter she states, "When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die. There is no middle ground." Personally, I found this chapter very shocking. I figured Ned would of lost his temper when Cersei told him that she was the reason Bran got hurt. I also would have thought Cersei would have freaked out knowing Ned now knows her secrets. Overall, I think that this will lead to secrets being exposed and more conflicts to come between Ned, Robert, and Cersei.

Bran (397-409)

          
           Once again I chose a Bran chapter. This chapter was full of action and kept me on my toes the whole time. The chapter starts with Bran getting strapped onto his horse, he has to be strapped to the horse because he still cannot feel his legs which causes him to not be able to grip the horse. They are setting out for short ride outside of Winterfell, Maester Luwin did not want him riding for too long due to the possibility of getting leg sores from the saddle. As they were riding Robb told Bran the news he had heard about their parents. He told Bran how his father had been caught under a falling horse and his leg was crushed, he was given the milk of the poppy and they weren’t sure when he would wake up again. This means that since his father has fallen and is unable to take matters into his own hands, they fall into Robbs hands. As they were riding their wolves had went into the woods and had made a kill. Robb and Bran went to look for them, as they were looking Robb decided to leave Bran alone thinking the guardsman would show up close behind. When they didn’t Bran turned to see 6 people who turned out to be wildlings and tried to take Brans horse, Robb showed up with the wolves and they killed all but two, Osha and Stiv. Stiv was eventually killed by Thoen Greyjoy and the woman was taken back to Winterfell for questioning.

            I really enjoyed this chapter because it was so full of action, I couldn’t hardly set the book down! It showed the protective side of Robb and the leader he really was. It also leaves you wondering about their father and what will happen if he doesn’t wake up, or if when he does, if he will be able to do the things he is expected to do with a severely injured leg. This chapter is important because it shows that Robb is serious about how hurt their father is and how prepared he really is to take over if need be. It also shows how Bran has grown and matured over time, as well as, how he is getting along with having to do things differently and getting over his fear of riding the horse without having the feeling in his legs. They even trained his horse special to react to words and the tiny touch of the reins. There could also be some important things they find out from this woman that they took back to winterfell with them, it could be interesting!

Eddard;

So one of the biggest things happening in the book at this point to me is King Robert is send men to kill Daenerys because of the baby, and Eddard is very upset with that decision. I could totally see something (war) or a small scale battle come about all of this. The king already killed their mother and father so theres already bad vibes between them.
This chapter allowed us to see a little into the future but didnt give anything away. I cant want to see how this plays out and how the situation is handled as a king's point of view or a murders! 

Eddard (351)

This chapter is very important as we see close ties break between Ned and the Ming, and we also see a lot of Stark vs. Lanister conflict. Add the fact that Daenerys is preto into the mix, it is not looking like the 7 kingdoms will stand much longer.

Catelyn

Catelyn and Rodrik are walking amongst the rain. Rodrik suggests that they stop and take shelter, Catelyn replies that she likes the feeling of the rain on her face and that it reminds her of her childhood. Rodrik suggest again they should stop because he could use a warm meal an fire. Catelyn then tells Rodrik of the inn at the crossroads. Rodrik reminds Catelyn of how public the inn at the crossroads are and that they are trying to remain discreet. Catelyn an Rodrik then pass a group of soldiers that doesn't recognize them and they decide that they will be safe in the inn. While Catelyn and Rodrik are eating dinner Tyrion shows up and tells them he needs a room. They continue to explain over and over how they don't have any rooms available and then begins to flip a gold coin until someone comes forward and agrees to give him their room. It is right after this moment that Tyrion then recognizes  Catelyn! Tyrion begins to speak and apologize to Catelyn for missing her at Winterfell, everyone turns and stares at  Cateltyn. Catelyn then turns to some of her men and asks them if Tyrion's men are as true as her father. Her men look at her and agree and say yes they are. Tyrion is confused on why Catelyn would even ask that. Catelyn then tells her man to take Tyrion captive because while Tyrion was a guest in her home that he tried to kill her son Bran. So Catelyns men take Tyrion captive and return to Winterfell to await justice from the King.

Eddard (V)

When I reading this chapter key theme popped into mind that really links the whole book together, in my opinion. Trust was the theme that came to mind when reading this chapter. Eddard is on the hunt for who killed Jon Arryn, and the first person he questions is Pycelle because Pcyelle's story has had its suspicions like when Pycelle ordered Master Coleman away when he was treating Jon. His trust with Pycelle is slowly deteriorating and he questions himself with who can truly trust and who truly is trustworthy with who they are serving. Littlefinger also tells Eddard that he has 4 more people that he needs to check out for Jon Arrys death, and Eddard seems puzzeld with this because he used to think Littlefinger was distrust-worthy until now. Littlefinger tells Eddard that distrusting him was the smartest thing that he done ever since he got to the kings landing. I think trust is huge thing throughout the book, because it is very hard to trust people who are of different roles/status of you, and so I think what Littlefinger said by that its the smartest thing he couldve done, is wise because that tells Ned that people in the kings landing are sneaky and he needs to be careful with who he trusts.

Ned's Chapter 351

In this chapter, Ned is trying to persuade the King not to kill Danerys because he feels like it's murder of an innocent. Robert insists on the killing of Danerys which then causes Ned to give up his position as the Hand. He then leaves and prepares to leave Kings Landing. Littlefinger comes to him and offers him information that hes been looking for so he has to go to a brothel. Robert wants Danerys dead because he hates the Targaryens and he hears about Danerys being pregnant which he feels like would be a threat to him being king. This is an important part of the book because it shows how much Robert hates the Targaryens and what he would do. It also helps Ned realize that Robert may not be the same man and the part where he gives up being a hand helps signify them moving apart. I liked this chapter because it helps show what Robert believes in doing as person and it helps Ned seem more of a great person which is good because I think Ned is a fair person and he has a good sense in right or wrong. This chapter also correlates with instances in real life where leaders send people to kill other people who threaten them personally. Even if the other person just wants different things. So it addresses the issue of whether or not its okay to send an mercenary after people.

Eddard 2

In this chapter Eddard finds out Daenersy is pregnant. So He tryes to convence the King not to kill her. King Robert wants to kill Daenersy for of fear of one day getting over thrown after hearing of her marriage plans and for the crimes there parents did which ended up getting them killed as well and landing Robert in the thrown. But Ned keeps telling him he shouldnt and its a bad idea, no matter what happend in the past that makes Robert want to kill these two.

 I like how Ned sticks to his guns and doesnt let the King change his mind even tho he is the "king". And knows that in his heart that it is not right to kill them, even tho not knowing the repercussions that might follow after dis-obeying the King  

Catelyn

As Catelyn and Rodrik are on their way north to Kingsroad they are trying to draw very little attention to themselves to keep their identities under wraps. They discuss that they need to stop somewhere to rest and both eventually agree upon the Inn at the crossroads, both convinced they wont be seen there. While the two are eating Tyrion enters, and then addresses Catelyn as Lady Stark. The people are almost in shock that a noble lady is among them. Catelyn then begins to accuse Tyrion of attempting to murder Bran. She then orders the men loyal to her to arrest him and then escort him to winterfall to await the king's justice. I feel as if Catelyn almost feels desperate to find someone to blame for almost killing Bran. The only evidence she had against Tyrion was that the dagger used had once belonged to Tyrion. The only thing Catelyn has done in create a reasoning for the Lannister family to begin to hate the Starks, which could potentially lead to a war/battle.

Eddard

Eddard is trying to stop King Robert from sending men to kill Daenerys. He said this after he found out she is pregnant.King Robert wants her dead and is really upset that he didn't kill Versys and Dany after killing their parents and taking the throne over. Eddard wouldn't sit there and let them do this.To me this an act of being a coward. Who would go kill and 14 year old girl and her unborn child like its nothing.

This chapter reminds me of Ned's plans to handle the murder of Arryn and his promises to his wife. Ned shows a great amount of courage for standing up to the King and not letting him change his beliefs. He would rathe demote himself as kings' hand than to sit there and let the kill Daenery. He won't be there when word comes back that Cat has Tyrion and there's no telling how irate Cersei might be. Ned's chapter has a plot that has twist, which catches my attention to read more. What would the Lannisters do when they find out that Tyrion is held hostage by the starks?

Game of Thrones Chapter 27 (Catelyn) Summary

In this chapter, Catelyn is riding north along the kingsroad with Ser Rodrik. Rodrik wants to find a place to spend the night, and Catelyn suggests an inn not too far away, which she used to stay in during her younger years, traveling with her father. Rodrik thinks staying at the inn is risky because he doesn't want Catelyn or himself to be recognized, but after they are passed by Lord Jason Mallister and his men and Jason does not recognize them, Catelyn is able to convince Rodrik that they're safe, and any people at the lodge will only see a pair of mud-splattered travelers. They arrive at the inn and after changing into dry clothes, Catelyn looks out the window and reflects on the people that she knows in the Green Fork of the Trident. Then she and Rodrik go to dinner under the story that they are just a father and daughter traveling for family business. During the meal, Catelyn meets a singer, who is sitting across from them at the table. Rodrik doesn't have much respect for him, but Catelyn converses with him. In the middle of the conversation, Tyrion Lannister and some of his men arrive at the inn. Despite all the people at the table, Tyrion's attention is drawn to Catelyn after the singer offers to play for him. Tyrion addresses Catelyn as 'Lady Stark', blowing her cover. Everyone in the room stares at her, but she plays it off and directly accuses Tyrion for Bran's attempted murder. This chapter is important to the story because it shows Tyrion being blamed for trying to kill Bran, and it's exciting to see what happens next. I chose this chapter because I liked the suspenseful part during the meal when Tyrion arrives and Catelyn is trying not to be seen, but fails.

Eddard (294-300)

Eddard is trying to dissuade King Robert from sending men to kill Daenerys when he finds out she is pregnant. Robert wants her dead and is furious that he didn't kill Versys and Dany when he had the chance, after killing their parents and taking the throne. Eddard wouldn't sit by and let them think it was okay to be coward and kill a 14 year-old girl and her unborn son. King Robert is furious with Ned and he gives up his duties to be The Hand. At the end of this chapter Ned is planning on fleeing by boat to get to Dragonstone to talk to Lord Stannis, but his plans are postponed when Littlefinger arrives.

As a whole this chapter reminds the reader of Ned's plans to handle business concerning the murder of Jon Arryn and his promises to his wife. Ned shows a great amount of courage for standing up to the King and not letting him change his beliefs. He would rather step down as the King's Hand than ignore their plans to kill Dany. King Robert is still as hateful of Rhaegar Targaryen as he was fifteen years ago. Ned came to Kings Landing in high hopes that the King was still the man he had grown to love as his own brother, a just and fair King but when he remembers Cat's words "the king is a stranger to you" he decides it's best that he leave as soon as possible before things get worse. He won't be there when word comes back that Cat has Tyrion and there's no telling how irate Cersei might be. Ned's chapter sets up a great plot twist later on in the book. What will happen when the Lannisters find out Tyrion is being held captive by a Stark and Ned has gotten away ??!

Sansa pages 293-304

          This chapter was about a jousting tournament, Sansa and Septa Mordane accompanied by Jeyne Poole were seated watching the tournament. Ser Gregor was riding his second joust of the day when he struck the other man in the neck, the end of the lance broke off into his neck killing him. After the tournament Sansa and Septa Mordane went to the feast afterwards, she sat next to Prince Joffrey. They talked all night long and then she was taken back to the castle.
          I think this is an important chapter because it give you the eyes to see the relationship Sansa and the Prince have together. They get along very well, even after the death of her wolf. They are able to talk and he has told gossip of the court and even had someone escort her home. I liked this chapter because it kept the excitement with the jousting tournament and it gave a side with much affection, I am much for the love story type. This chapter also told the story behind Sandor Clegane's burned face and what actually happened. How his brother, Gregor had found him playing with his toy and picked him up and pushed his face down on burning coals, how it took 3 grown men to pull him off of him with gregor only being eleven or twelve years old. Their father had told everyone that the boys bedding had caught fire instead of the real story, he was angry about that and told Sansa before he left that if she told anyone, he would kill her.

Sansa (Pg. 293-304)

Sansa goes to the Hand's tourney with Septa Mordane and Jeyne Poole. Sansa watches the tournament with amusement. During a match, Gregor kills Hugh, Jon Arryn's young former squire, by shoving his lance into Hugh's throat. Hugh's body lands in front of Sansa, and she watches unfazed as Hugh bleeds out. After the tournament, Sansa and Septa Mordane go to the feast held by King Robert. Joffrey sits next to Sansa and acts like there is no conflict between the two of them. At the end of the night, Joffrey makes Hound escort Sansa back to her room. While on their walk back to Sansa's room, Hound tells Sansa how Gregor burned his face on hot coals when they were younger because he took Gregor's toy knight. What really grabbed my interest in this chapter is that Sansa wasn't fazed by Hugh's death. She even explains how the blood was coming out in a pulsating rhythm. This makes me think that Sansa can be bold and brave whenever she is needed. I feel that later in the book she will play a big part in an important event. 

Daenerys (II)

In this chapter Daenerys gets married to Drogo and finds out that he's not as bad as she had originally thought and begins to catch feeling for him. Once Daenerys started embracing her relationship with Drogo, Drogo find himself bending to her every whim falling prey to her seduction. After they wed she is given many gift but the two that stand out to me the most would be the silver horse that Drogo gave her. Also she was given three fossilized dragon eggs by Illyrio priceless items and could be key in the near future. It also talks about the lack of patience that her brother has to go and use Drogo's army to take his thrown back and rule the seven kingdoms.
I choose this chapter because the relationship between Daenerys and Drogo is starting to bloom which will only help the cause to retake the thrown. Also Daenerys receiving the dragon eggs will turn out to be a crucial part of her strategy in the future to regain her thrown.

Bran III
I choose to write about Bran because there was a lot of foreshadowing. He had a dream about fall from Bran II, where a crow with three eyes is telling him to learn to fly if he wants to ever wake up. On the way down Bran see people he knows doing things in the future. I feel the book does a good job of telling us small detail like the crows third eye, I feel is symbolic for the crow can see into the future and knows that bran plays a huge role. Almost to the ground Bran learns to fly and the crow starts attacking him. Also sees the end of the world during the plummet down. These points will surely come back into play later on in the book. Very interesting to keep reading.

Dany

Dany;

In this chapter we see Dany start to develop her own identity. She still relates with her old house and the dragon, but she also is in the process of taking on her new role as Khaleesi of the Dothraki. She begins to stand up to her abusive brother Viserys, having him beaten and his horse taken away, shaming him in front of everyone. We also see Dany and Ser Jorah bonding as queen and vassal as well as Dany falling in love with her new husband, and eventually being taken with his child at the end of this chapter. This chapter is showing Dany's growth from a girl into a woman as she takes on responsibilities and carves out her own place in a hostile place where the strong thrive and the weak die.

Bran's Dream

This chapter was all about Bran and his dream! He was dreaming about how he kept falling and he kept seeing a crow that was trying to teach him how to fly correctly.  Sansa is crying at night. Sansa and Arya and keep seeing shadows. Bran claims to see the end of the world when he looks at the wall. Bran is told winter is coming and he must learn how to fly or he will die. Bran didn't really learn how to fly very well even though his life was depending on it. Then the crow starts attacking him before he hits the ground. Bran then wakes up from his coma like state and comes to find that he cannot feel his legs. Bran does end up keeping the wolf. Which is an important symbol to them. Bran also decides to name the wolf summer. This chapter was interesting how it was all based off of a dream. I think this dream Bran had will eventually all make sense later on in the book. Over all it was a good chapter kept you wanting to read more to find out what happens next!

Bran 3

This chapter was rather interesting to me, the whole chapter was just one big dream about him falling in bran 2, after he was pushed out a window. It is a very vivid dream for bran because it is very descriptive and he sees a lot of people he knows, along with the end of the world. The whole time that Bran is falling the crow that he was messing with in bran two, which has three eyes in this dream was telling him that he needs to fly or die. He doesn't do so until he almost hits the ground at which that point the crow that tried to help him survive, is now attacking him. I think the chapter of bran's falling dream is interesting because i think that the author is giving out hints or clues to what we can expect later on in the book, I belive that someone close to bran, say someone he looks up to and learns from will betray him, such as the crow did when he started attacking him once he started to fly.

Bran 3

In Brans chapter we see he has a dream that he is falling and a crow with three eyes is showing him how to fly. Sansa keep crying at night.  Arya and Sansa are surrounded by these shadows. Bran looks at the Wall and sees the end of the world. The  crowntells Bran that winter is coming so he must learn how fly or he will die. Bran try and learns to fly by opening his arms. The crow attacks Bran he was ima comma.  Bran wakes up and notices he can't feel his legs. He also still has his wolf and decided to give her a name. I love his chapter because we start to see bran develop. Also I liked his wolf name is summer. This text kinda gave me hope because the crow was really trying to help. Over all this was a good chapter.

Catelyn (III)

I really enjoyed this chapter and the character Catelyn is by far my favorite in the book, because she really shows off how she is passionate woman about her family and how strong she can be without Ned by her side. This chapters main focus is Catelyn drawing to conclusions about Bran's fall. She knows her little boy to well to know that a talented climber as himself, would not fall, he had to have been pushed. Catelyn finally realizes and makes assumptions that it was the lannisters and she takes off to go tell Ned and handle it herself. I liked this chapter because she is my favorite character I love reading stories behind her and all of her strength to protect her family and takes matters into her own hands. Another reason why i think catelyn is such a protective mother is that there was an incident where a man comes into the castle and tries to kill Bran, and Catelyn takes a dagger and saves Bran from being murdered. I believe that after the incident is when Catelyn realized that Bran did not fall, and was pushed.

Daenerys(226)

This was a shorter chapter but basically, Daenerys and the Dothraki's are still on their journey to the Dothraki land. This chapter is from her point of view and is mostly about her feelings. She talks about mostly riding her horse during the day and how shes getting better at it and about her and Kahl Drogo at night. The two big things that stuck out at me was the dragon eggs cropped up which means they could be important later on. Also at the very end is the statement that she's pregnant at 14. To me this last part was meant to get a reaction out of people because nowadays people would say that's not a good thing. However it's not unheard of because there is some cultures that marry young and have children young. So as far as being repulsed or horrified, I think that its up to the personal opinion of people to decide that. I don't think the sex part would bother people so much because teens are starting younger and younger every year.

Bran

This post is about how brand fell from the tower. Apparently he was dreaming the whole time he was falling. All of a sudden a crow came beside him telling him he wont wake up if he hits the ground. So the crow tries to teach him how to fly but Bran doesn't believe the crow at first. As he got closer to the ground he spread his arms and began to fly. Then out of the blue the crow starts to attack him and he shorty woke up afterwards. To me Brand seems like a very innocent kid Why would he dream about something so horrible. This is one thing that caught my attention in this section of the book.

Daenerys (pg.226-236)

NIn this ten page chapter a lot happens in the life of Daenerys. The chapter starts by describing the beautiful Dathraki sea. As Khaleesi, Dany orders the whole party to stay behind so that she can explore and take in all of the sights with her silver (horse). Defiantly, her brother marches down to her, attacks her, and unsuccessfully try's to assert his dominance over Daenerys. In the midst of his attack Dathraki riders come and whip him. And as a result of his abuse and cowardice for all those years, Dany orders that his horse be taken away and that he be made to walk behind the whole traveling procession. This was the worst insult because the Dathraki believed that a man without a horse was no man at all. 

Daenerys went through a tremendous change of person in this chapter. She defies her brother for the first time. She has a personal realization that she was "blood of the dragon", however her brother was a dead dragon. 

At the end of the chapter Dany becomes very brave, and initiates sex with Drogo. She took out into the moonlight (where all things of importance are done) and they did the deed. As a result Daenerys ends up pregnant! 

This chapter is significant for three main reasons: 

1) Dany becomes pregnant.. Extending the bloodline of the Dragon. 

2) Viserys looses all dignity. 

3) Dany starts acting like a queen. 

I think Dany is becoming braver and braver and that it could result in her trying to take the throne of the 7 Kingdoms. It also seemed to me that she wanted to become pregnant, which further Leads to my assumption that she wants to become queen, since she is trying to extend her bloodline. With her brother seemingly out of the way and of little significance now, that creates one less obstacle in her way. I think Drogo is probably starting to see her take initiative and taking on the role of Khaleesi more, and is probably impressed by that and will respect her more; which could lead to him giving her his army to take back the 7 Kingdoms. 

Catelyn (III)

This chapter starts off in Winterfell with Catelyn sitting by Bran's side. Ned had left for King's Landing so Robb decided to take the castle's duties. However, Robb notices a building on fire in the distance and decides to leave and help. After Robb leaves, a man in worn out clothes but an expensive dagger enters the room and tries to assassinate Bran. Catelyn protects Bran by grabbing the dagger with her hands. After the incident, Catelyn thinks about it and realizes that Bran is a skilled climber and there is noway that he fell off the roof without being pushed off. She comes up with the conclusion that the Lannisters had pushed Bran, and she decides to ride to the King's Landing in order to warn Ned of the situation. I really enjoyed this chapter because it shows that Catelyn can be tough, and it's not just her husband that can keep their family safe. It took a lot of bravery to stop the man from killing Bran. Then she wakes up from the incident, and draws conclusions on who would do this to Bran and decides to go tell Ned. To me, this just shows her passion for her family and how strong willed she is. 

Game of Thrones Chapter 17 (Bran) Summary

In this chapter, Bran is dreaming that he is falling. A crow comes alongside him and tells him that he won't wake up if he hits the ground, but he'll die. The crow says that he is teaching Bran to fly. Bran doesn't believe him at first, and they continue to fall, with the ground growing closer beneath them. The crow says that Bran must live, because winter is coming. Bran finally tries to fly and spreads his arms, and he soars upward. Then the crow starts attacking him, and Bran wakes up. This chapter is important to the story because Bran is finally awake after his fall from the tower. I chose this chapter because it shows what Bran was experiencing during his unconsciousness and what he was feeling.

Arya (181-189)
This chapter starts off in the setting of the Small Hall, eating dinner with the guard and an argument between Arya and Sansa that ends with Arya running away to her room. Ned discovers her sword that Jon had made for her before he left for the Wall. Arya explains why she's so homesick and how much she hates her new life. Her father lets her know that family is all they have now, and the only way they'll survive is standing strong together. Ned starts Arya wit sword lessons with Syrio Forel. I connected a lot with this chapter, being the odd one out but never letting go of what made me who I am. There's always more than one path leading to the same place. When we moved from Florida we were all we had and the only way we could survive was sticking together.

Bran 3

Although this chapter is a little on the shorter side I liked the detail that was added to the chapter about Brans fall. It described the choice he had been given from the crow, to either fly or die. The crow told him that he had a reason to live and it was because winter was coming. Bran has easily become one of my favorite characters in the book, I have a lot of sympathy for him and especially the love he has for his wolf. He is a very adventurous child and after all the times he thought he would never fall, he finally did. At the end of this chapter it makes you want to find out more, it leaves you wondering what exactly happened to him from the fall, since he cant feel his wolfs paws on his legs when he wakes up. Bran is a very innocent child and for something so bad to happen to a child really gets to me, so I think that is what draws me into each one of his chapters.

Bran1

In this chapter we see Bran go watch the killing the of Gare. Ned kills him with the greatsword. Robb belives Gared died like a brave man. Other think Gared was really scared. The men found a dead big wolf that had five baby wolfs. Three males and two girls.  Ned’s men wanted to kill the animals but  Jout said  it’s a sign that they need to keep them but  Jon finds another wolf and keeps it. It's  a male with red eyes. This chapter is important  to the context because it shows how the charters have no problem killing. I chose this chapter because it was very interesting. From the beginning you get to really understand how each charter personality. At the end when the last baby wolf was token it made me curious for more.

Bran 2

With the second part of Bran's chapter it was right before he was going to adventure out to kings landing with his father and decided to do some adventuring. So Bran is a really great climber and his family always worries over him falling so with this his fall in the chapter looked like an accident.Jaime pushes Bran out the window for a few reasons due to her and her brother talking about plans and having sex with each other or described in Bran's words "wrestling". This chapter is important due to the fact Bran is now in a coma for god knows how long. We also do find out what Jaime and Cersie where planning on doing. I liked it due to the fact that the chapter just felt like a growing up experience for him then everything changed once Jamie and Cersie where introduced. I also found it very disgusting due to the fact that they were brother and sister having sex because it was frowned upon in that society too. The quote with "The things I do for love" was really weird due to the fact it was not just a brother-sisterly love it was more than that and pushed Bran off for it.

Bran 1

Chapter one Bran, is mainly centered around the execution of Gared a member of the night's watch and the decision to execute him by Ned Stark lord of Winterfell. Ned made his decision based on the fact that Gared had left two of his comrades to die alone and the only punishment that was just in Ned's mind was death. Ned carried out the execution which is kinda unusual for a lord to do himself, his reasoning was if you give the order of beheading you should do it yourself so he did with the help of the great-sword ice. The chapter also introduces an entourage of characters but the most intriguing  character in my opinion is Jon Snow the bastard son of Lord Stark. I disagree with Lord Stark's decision to execute Gared, personally if I saw a comrade (Waymar) murdered and then came back to life and killed my other comrade (Will) I would of ran away as well. I really liked the way Games of Thrones started and that is why I choose to write the summary over the first chapter Bran. The prologue Will, set up chapter one to play out the way it did and was an attention grabber from the begging.

Chapter 1 Brain

This chapter is important because it is the first part of the book. You are learning the the background of the setting of the book, the characters, and the lord. Ned is a jerk, is the first chapter he kills Gared for running away. Ned's son Robb witness Ned ( his father ) killing Gared. Robb didn't as if Gared deserved to go out the way he did. Ned believes one can only be a man when they are terrified. To be honest this book is a little tough to follow because I'm not into such type of themes. So i don't have much thought right now but besides trying to understand the charters and what is going on. Hopefully I will get more in to the book and will end up liking it. Maybe even watch the series. :)

Daenerys (pg.99-108)

The beginning of the chapter leads off with the wedding procession of Daenerys and Khal Drogo. Recently Daenerys was sold by her brother Viserys to Khal Drogo to wed. Viserys sold her in hopes that Lord Drogo would extend his army to Viserys, and as result Viserys would be able to win back his family's  rightful place of rulers of the Seven Kingdoms. Daenerys did not want to marry Drogo for many reasons: he was a hulking giant, they didn't speak the same language, and his people are known for their brutal savagery. The chapter follows Daenerys through the wedding, where she received gifts of all sorts. Including a majestic horse from her lord husband. Daenerys hope grew after she received the horse. The chapter closes with the consummation of their marriage under the open night sky, as tradition of the Dothraki. 

I chose this chapter first and for most because Daenerys is my favorite character. Despite all the obstacles she's up against and everything that is out of her control. She stays strong and makes herself grow up. I think her character is relatable because most people have faced some sort of ordeal where they were forced to grow up. 

This chapter is a turning point in the book because Viserys has finally obtained an army to fight for the throne of the seven kingdoms. This chapter foreshadows a battle in the near future that could change the whole dynamic of the book. 

Controversial topics in this chapter include: abuse, selling women, murder, and public "relations" (worth of women).  

Bran;
This chapter started out with the execution of Gared, a man who had ran away after two men died. They later find him and announce the beheaded. Ned (Lord of winterfell) is the man who kills Gared, Robb (Ned's son) witnesses the killing and claims that Gared was scared and didn't die a noble death. When riding back to Winterfell the men find a dead wolf with young that are still alive, and agree to take them back home and nurture them back to health. Jon finds a white fur wolf pup and keeps it a secret from the group. This chapter shows both life and death. I see the importance of this message, these people are very "by the book" with their laws, but also have hearts. Ned shows his son at a young age the difference between right and wrong. I think the wolves will play another role in showing this same message down the road. Im still a little unsure where to take everything I read not know what is going to come, so its a little hard to predict what will happen next. Enjoyed the read!

Bran

In this chapter, Bran, his two brothers, his dad, Theon, and Jory. They were on their way to behead a guy that betrayed the Night Watch. This is where I got a little confused. It said that the betrayer had lost his fingers and the first chapter also said this about Gared. Which made me assume that he was the one who was getting beheaded. Brans father would be in charge of the beheading. Bran would also be witnessing his first beheading. After the beheading was done, the crew went back home but came apon a liter of direwolfs and their mother was dead next to the pups. So they decide to take them. Jon did not have one. But in the end I found it amusing that their was an albino pup that they didn't see just for him.

Bran

I actually liked this chapter quite a bit, it was very interesting. You really learn how people act. And the way things work and happen and is rather exciting. In this chapter Bran watches the execution of the man that deserted the group. And the punishment is death by beheading by sword. And one thing I personally found interesting and think that something of this sorts could be used in todays world. And that is that for a person who sentences death, should deal it as well. Because when you sentences someone to death, you really are taking someone's life and I don't think that it really registers in their mind that they are actually killing that person. So if they are the ones to do it, then they really will get the full feeling.

Tyrion

While travelling towards the north wall, Tyrion meets Yoren a man who was on the night watch. Tyrion has realized that these night watch guys were not loyal guys, but were ones that were really just running from what they have done. Tyrion later convinces Jon that the guys on the night watch were not good guys trying to help like Jon thought. They were the lows in the society, running away from their crimes instead of facing them. Tyrion has always been different in my eyes, but I certainly think now that he was smarter than everyone perceives him as being. His views on everything makes everyone take a second look at their own thoughts. For example, Jon and the night watch, and then Tyrion sensing that there is a strange connection between Bran and his direwolve that is helping keep Bran alive. Tyrion is a part of everyone but then again he is a loner at the same time. I feel as if he has only spoke up ½ of the time when he sees something odd, and that this is only the beginning of us seeing the role he will play in this book.

Catelyn

Catelyn (pg. 58-67)

I chose the chapter Catelyn simply because I loved reading about the life and marriage between Catelyn and of the Lord Stark of Winterfell. They have an intense strong relationship to where no one is weak because they are lifting eachother up. Catelyn will do almost anything for her husband and supports him through anything and only wants the best for him. Ned (Lord Stark) is in a predicament on whether or not he should agree to the Kings terms on leaving and to stand beside him. When Catelyn receives a letter from her sister saying that Arryn was murdered by the Lannisters, great anger took upon Ned and Catelyn had no choice in supporting him to take the Kings offer. By doing so, Ned would be taking 3 of children, leaving 2 with Catelyn, which broke her heart. This chapter is very important in following the story within the book. It tells us a lot about who Catelyn and Ned are and their family, and shows the personalities and obstacles that they will later on have to face- and gives a good sense of what life was like in their time. I think the character of Ned changes drastically with the influence on his wife as well. I think bigger viewpoints this chapter could ponteinall link to would be treatment of women- only because in that time men were known to cheat on their wives, but Catelyn and Neds relationship isn’t like most Starks. And I think medieval life falls into this because the setting seems to be in a medieval time with kings and lords, etc.

Game of Thrones Chapter 7 (Arya) Summary

Arya is knitting with the others. Her knitting is of poor quality, so she briefly stops to speak to her sister next to her. They start conversing about the prince, Joffrey, and Arya catches the septa's attention. The septa comes to examine Arya's work and sees that the stitches are crooked. Arya becomes embarrassed and leaves the room, even though she knows she'll get in trouble. She goes to the covered bridge overlooking the yard where the boys are practicing fighting. She meets Jon, who is watching the practice. He comments that she she should be working on her knitting, but she wants to watch the practice too. They watch the fighting for a while, and while Arya had wanted to see Joffrey defeated in the fight, she sees him out of the fight, towards the back of the yard, surrounded by men. Later, when Arya leaves, she notices that she is on more trouble than she originally anticipated, as both her mother and the septa are waiting in her room. This chapter is important for the story because it shows some of Arya's character and how she is picked on by others, for example, "Jeyne used to call her Arya Horseface, and neigh whenever she came near." I liked this chapter because the event of the septa discovering that Arya's knit work is poor is similar to when my teacher in school did the same thing, and I became embarrassed and wanted to leave. There isn't too much violence in this chapter apart from the knight training, but this means that violence will follow, later on in the book.
