Articles 1,2,3

Article 1: Violent Video games
This article talks about violence and how television and video games can have a negative effect on children . This article briefly talks about history of video games and its negative influences. Also  it goes on by showing different ways that they used to discover if a video game was really violent or not. It also explained the different effects like quick anger when people play video games. In conclusion, the last paragraph sums up on how video games can effect the youth. I personally agree with video games the have a lot of adult content and violence even though they encourage violence. I have mainly all younger siblings so i wouldn't really recommend violent video games to the youth. I'm glad that they have age restrictions on some things like this instead of letting anyone of all ages get a hold of this.

Article 2: Weinstein, Harvey
The main idea about this article starts out with Weinstein saying he feels like he shouldn't make these violent movies anymore because he feels like it might be having an effect on real world violence. He was pretty straight forward with an idea and then gets more in depth as he goes on about the topic. He presents evidence by quoting psychologists and their opinions on if it does or does not effect real world violence. The author doesn't take a side of weather if it does or doesn't affect the world but he takes the opportunity to talk about if the violent movies makes a person less sensitive to real world violence. I think this article is kind of ridiculous because Weinstein isn't comfortable showing to his own kids whats really going on in movies. In reaction to this reasoning, he goes on about our gun control; and how any violent movie we watch, makes us even more violent. This might trigger someone to go get a gun because everyone has one and guns are everywhere.

Article 3: Columbine
In Marilyn Manson's article, he explains how us as people and media are to blame for the violent acts that continue to happen. For instance, he states, "When it comes down to who's to blame for the high school murders in Littleton, Colorado, throw a rock and you'll hit someone who's guilty." Manson also talks about how the media "praises" and post the pictures of the criminals that cause these violent acts all over the media for everyone to see. Manson doesn't blame a single person. He feels that it is our fault as society that violence continues to happen. For some people, that maybe why the commit the crimes that they do. Just so they can be heard and noticed. To me, media will make some one famous, in the wrong way, and hurt others in the process.
