Article 1-
The main idea for this article was explaining how and why video games makes people violent. Its structured pretty straight forward, with a general idea and then gets more in depth as he goes on about the topic. They presented all different types of evidence. They showed research from 1980s 1990s and so on. They compared their research back then to now. They showed comparisons and differences in violent games back then through now. I did this topic my senior year and they had the same points I've already seen. But I don't think these violent video games make you more violent and want to shoot up a school. I play violent video games and I'm fine and so are my sisters. I think the people who do those things are already messed up somewhere inside and they mistake the game for reality. Otherwise we'd have a lot more shootings happening.

Article 2-
The main idea about this article starts out with Weinstein saying he feels like he shouldn't make these violent movies anymore because he feels like it might be having an effect on real world violence. Its structured pretty straight forward, with a general idea and then gets more in depth as he goes on about the topic. He presents evidence by quoting psychologists and their opinions on if it does or does not effect real world violence. The author doesn't take a strong position of if it does or doesn't affect the world but he takes the opportunity to talk about if the violent movies makes a person less sensitive to real world violence. I think this article is kind of ridiculous because Weinstein isn't comfterable showing to his own kids and because of that reasoning he goes on about our gun control, and how any violent movie makes you more violent and it'll trigger someone to go get a gun because guns are everywhere.

Article 3-
The main idea for this article was showing that music isn't to blame for murders and to show that icons aren't to blame either. This article is done in first person by Marilyn Manson. He presented evidence not statistically but more showing us different examples of murders and showing how media will tie what provoked the murderers to kill with anything if it means to blame it on something else to get a sense to why they did it and how it can be stopped. After reading this I never thought about how we put murderers on the cover of things just like we do with famous people. Its giving them so much satisfaction and like he said about the little boy who gets bullied and pushed around at school, now he has someone to look up to. I've never thought of it that way that we are displaying them the same as a good person. This article shocked me most out of all of them just because its all about the little things that everyone overlooks and doesn't think that its causing any harm.
